Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris have apparently split up. Love is dead.

We can’t stop thinking about the inflatable swan

We can’t stop thinking about the inflatable swan

It’s a sad day today, for it is reported that Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris have split up.

Over. Finished. Done with.

The A-list couple had been dating for 15 months after making their relationship official via the power of Instagram and an inflatable swan, but have now crushed the notion of #couplegoals everywhere, with the news that they parted ways. It is alleged that Harris, who was involved in a car crash in Los Angeles last month, was the one to end things between him and Tay Tay, with the Scottish DJ apparently blaming constant touring and travelling for the breakdown of the relationship.

A source told E! News: ‘Taylor's heart was more in it then he was. He started to lose interest over the past few months, but really tried to not just break up.’

To put the deluge of Internet rumours to rest, Calvin Harris took to Twitter to address ‘The Split’. Breaking his silence in the most noughties way possible (actually, that would probably be Snapchat now) he tweeted:

The only truth here is that a relationship came to an end & what remains is a huge amount of love and respect

The couple were last seen together in New York at the weekend, and before that, were photographed having a great time at Coachella festival in California, where Calvin was playing a DJ set with a little help from Rihanna.

Goodbye Talvin, we'll miss you.
