Gary Barlow’s quotes about Robbie Williams leaving were ‘misinterpreted’, say Take That’s PR agency
It has been widely reported over the last few days that Robbie Williams would be leaving Take That for a second time.
Reports that the group were back to being a four-piece started to emerge after Gary Barlow spoke to the Radio Times with his quotes suggesting Robbie was leaving again.
But the band’s management have rubbished the break-up claims, saying it’s 'untrue' Robbie Williams would be leaving and have insisted they’re just ‘on a break’.
Take That’s PR agency tweeted that the group, who only recently reunited for a record-breaking world tour, Progress Live 2011, were having time apart as Gary Barlow and Robbie Williams both wanted to pursue solo projects for the time being.
The PR company, Dawbell, posted, 'Rumours about Take That splitting today - completely untrue. They are on a break - Gary is on X Factor + Robbie is working on his new album.'
They later posted again, 'Just to clarify, Gary's quotes from the Radio Times interview have been mis-interpreted. He explained on Jonathan Ross at the weekend...’

The tweets continued to say, ’....that Take That are on a break. Gary explains the Take That situation in an interview with Jo Whiley.'
Gary Barlow had told the Radio Times a few days ago that Take That's revival as a five-man band ‘ended perfectly’, adding, ‘You know what, we can revisit it whenever we want.’
The X Factor judge continued to say, ‘We got on well. We finished the tour. We’re all happy. The fans have come along and been happy. Great, great, great, great, great. Now Rob's doing a solo record, and from this point it's back to where it was.’
To everyone that read the interview it certainly sounded as though the band were going their separate ways, after only a year of being a complete group again after 16 years apart.
A Take That spokesman said Barlow had made a similar comments earlier in the year, and insisted the current line-up of the group was simply taking time apart.
‘I can confirm that the band are not splitting and there is no pending announcement of a split,’ he said. ‘The band are on a break, Gary is doing X Factor and Robbie is working on his new solo album.’
After the pair were seen together getting on so well at Gary’s home, to judge the boys category on the X Factor, it seemed their rivalry had truly been put to bed and would be together in the band for the long haul.
Gary confirmed their strong relationship saying, ‘He's our brother, Rob is, and if he's ever in trouble or he wants to have a year off being Robbie Williams, he's welcome any time he wants.’
