Strictly outcast: fans turn on Tom Chambers
The voting fiasco on Strictly Come Dancing has sparked an online backlash against actor Tom Chambers. The Holby City star got through to the final after Lisa Snowdon and Rachel Stevens tied at top place last week.
Thousands of people phoned in to save him but their votes were wasted as there was no way of keeping him out of the dance-off.
Ultimately, producers put all three in the final, meaning Tom could win despite him being the worst dancer last week.
Now Strictly fans have turned on him suggesting that, as the 'loser' in the piece, he should do the honourable thing and bow out.
On an internet forum, fans have written comments such as: 'Tom was the worst dancer. He should be withdrawn', and 'Tom might win but his status will always be questioned.'
And a BBC spokesman also reportedly told the Daily Star that Tom winning would be the 'worst-case scenario for us'.

He added: 'We've tried to make everything above board and be as fair and open as possible, but we fully expect to take a load more flak if he steals the crown. The whole point of the show depends on people believing that their votes count.
'If they lose that belief we could be in real trouble.'
Whatever happens, we can't wait for the final!
