Spotted! Katy Perry out for the first time since divorce announcement

The singer was seen catching a flight to Bangkok

Katy Perry has been seen out and about for the first time since her divorce from Russell Brand was announced back in December. The singer was photographed arriving at LAX airport ahead of a flight to Bangkok.

Russell Brand returned to Los Angeles a few days ago ahead of a reported make-or-break meeting with Perry, but now that the singer has left the country, it's not clear whether that meeting ever went ahead.

Perry looked glum but in great shape as she strolled through the airport, sporting a new blue 'do and covering much of her face with an oversized hat and shades.

The Firework singer was also wearing a large sapphire ring on her wedding finger, replacing her old engagement ring and wedding band.

Brand, 36, spoke out for the first time since announcing he was divorcing Perry in late December at a Q&A session for his new TV show, Strangely Uplifting.

When asked how he was, he responded: 'I’m quite well, thank you.

‘Are you asking because of recent events? Well, I suppose what you’re doing is you’re making the mistake as seeing time as linear.’

Perry has used Twitter to thank her fans for their support and to announce that she was pulling out of an appearance at the People's Choice Awards.
