The proud parents are said to be ‘over the moon’ with their new arrival
Proud new parents Sophie Dahl and Jamie Cullum have welcomed a bouncing baby girl into the family, after the supermodel gave birth on Wednesday, at London’s exclusive Portland hospital.
Mother and baby are said to be doing well, and the pair are said to be 'over the moon' with their tiny new addition to the family, and first child.
Musician Jamie and model Sophie have named their bundle of joy Lyra, the ancient Greek name for a constellation of stars.
‘Musician Jamie Cullum and his wife, the author and presenter Sophie Dahl, have become parents,’ a spokesman for the happy pair confirmed over the weekend.
‘Their daughter Lyra was born on March 2. They are over the moon.’

'They are the perfect couple and now they are a proper family,' a friend of the pair added. 'I’m sure they’re going to be absolutely brilliant parents.'
Sophie and Jamie married in secret last year but celebrated their wedding at a luxury hotel in the New Forest in January.
Speaking after the special event, Sophie revealed: 'Making that promise is a sacred thing and not really for anyone else. It's to be witnessed by your close family and your close friends.
'It was wonderful and joyful and that's all I want to say.'
Congratulations to the happy couple!
