Simon Cowell rules out Cheryl Cole X Factor return

After weeks of rumours, it seems the ex-judge won’t be returning to the show…

Last week the rumour mill was abuzz with whisperings all was not well on the new X Factor panel, with some saying Simon Cowell had patched things up with Cheryl Cole, and was considering re-instating her on the show.

But now it seems the music mogul has had a change of heart and has taken the starlet off standby, after being blown away by the new panel of judges.

‘Simon thinks all the judges have done an absolutely amazing job this year,’ one X Factor insider told the Mirror.

‘He loves Kelly and Tulisa and there is zero chance of either of them losing their place next year. Cheryl became the nation’s sweetheart... but the past few weeks have proved there is a lot of talent just as capable.

And not only has Simon decided Mrs C won’t be making another appearance on the show, he’s decided that re-hiring her would actually be a 'backwards step'.

'Now Simon has decided it would be a backward step to reinstate her,' the source added.

'He gets annoyed if anyone suggests Kelly Rowland or Tulisa may have to make way for her to return. That is categorically not going to happen.'
