Secret Cinema Just Announced Their Latest Movie. And It's BRILLIANT.
Because nobody puts Baby in a corner...
Because nobody puts Baby in a corner...
Secret Cinema has tackled everything from Star Wars to Ghostbusters, but now it's set to bring back a rom-com great.
It's a film you've probably watched more times than you can count, and you probably still get a little high watching Patrick Swayze burst into the Kellerman's hallway for that final, rom-com busting 'no-one puts baby in the corner' scene, followed by the best coming-up-the-aisle routine of all time.
Yep... it's Dirty Dancing!
Secret Cinema are known for pullling out all the stops with their 'immersive' movie experiences, setting their events with thousand-strong audiences in everything from abandoned office blocks to palaces. The return of their Dirty Dancing event promises to transport ticket-holders to a full replica 1960s Kellerman's holiday camp. Think white picket fencing, pastel clad holiday goers, watermelons and (of course) plenty of dishy dance instructors.
Future Cinema Presents Dirty Dancing from Secret Cinema Presents on Vimeo.
This is not the first time Secret Cinema has invited us to have the time of our lives. Originally Secret Cinema tackled Dirty Dancing in 2013 in Hackney Downs Park for three nights, where 12 000 attendees did a lot of dancing and carried a lot of watermelons. Bringing Dirty Dancing back this year will also make a refreshing palette-cleanser to their previously-announced run of Danny Boyle's budget sci-fi thriller 28 Days Later.
