'I've been really fortunate. I've found that I had, even in times of crisis, a lot of love around me, and people have come out of all different dark corners to support me,' she said.
'That's been a really beautiful thing. And I think I've also learned to be much more tolerant and much more patient.'
The 27-year-old who was busily promoting We Bought A Zoo with Matt Damon and teen-star Elle Fanning, has also recently wrapped up The Avengers and is currently shooting Under The Skin, but told the chat show host keeping a busy schedule is just what she needed.
'When I'm working I can't focus on anything but the job at hand, and I think that's some kind of therapy.'
But the Lost In Translation star admitted she was also looking forward to a holiday: 'I’m just looking forward to sleeping later than five in the morning. I just want to have a little vacation before I get back to finishing this job, and then just keep going.'
The newly single Scarlett, who until recently was dating actor Sean Penn, opened up about her two-year marriage to Ryan Reynolds, saying she has 'no regrets'.
When asked if she would ever consider walking down the aisle again, she laughed and said, 'That's a deep question that I think probably requires a check for $250, and a couch... lying down.'
While Scarlett may be single, her ex-husband Reynold's has moved on to dating Gossip Girl's Blake Lively.
A source reportedly claimed to US Weekly that Scarlett was upset that Ryan's new relationship with his Green Lantern co-star was progressing so quickly.
The source told the magazine, 'Scarlett is pissed that he's not under her spell anymore. Ryan would have gotten back with her. He was so totally in love, but then she flaunted Sean right after their split, and he was done.'
