Scarlett Johansson set to release album
Scarlett Johansson is set to add another string to her bow – by releasing a music album in May.
The Other Boleyn Girl star, who was nominated for a Golden Globe for her perfomance alongside Bill Murray in Lost in Translation, will release her first album on 6 May.
The album, entitled Anywhere I Lay My Head, will feature ten Tom Waits cover tracks and one original song, called a Song for Jo.
Tom Waits is described as one of 'the last beatniks of contemporary music' and is a hugely-successful singer/songwriter with a background in jazz and blues; his films credits include working on soundtracks for movies like Fight Club and Jarhead.
One source says that Johansson has a 'lovely, whispery' voice that perfectly suits Waits' unusual lyrics.
