The Oscar-winning actress is reportedly up for the role of Miss Hannigan
Sandra Bullock is reportedly in talks to star in an upcoming big screen remake of Annie.
The Oscar-winning actress first discussed playing the role of villainous orphanage caretaker Miss Hannigan back in March, but allegedly turned the part down. It's understood that Sandra is now back in talks with film studio Sony, and with Will Smith and Jay-Z producing the movie, it's thought this time a deal will be made.
Production on the latest adaptation of the comic strip-turned-musical, which will be directed by Will Gluck, is expected to kick off later this year with an autumn 2014 release date. Other star names linked to the film include Jamie Foxx, who is likely to play billionaire businessman Daddy Warbucks, and child actress Quvenzhané Wallis, who is set to portray the title character. Kathy Bates, Carol Burnett and Carol Cleveland have all played Miss Hannigan in past adaptations.
