It's happened. Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes have had a baby.

Us Weekly is reporting that the couple welcomed a baby girl into the world on Friday 12 September. Apparently, 'multiple sources' have confirmed the news.

In July it was reported that Eva, 40, and Ryan, 33, were expecting a baby together, though, being the ultra private couple that they are, they never actually confirmed it.

Back in February, Eva even laughed off pregnancy rumours after she reportedly refused to go through a security scanner at the airport.

Speaking on the Ellen Degeneres show, she said: 'It's so ridiculous. It all started because I didn't want to go through the scanners at the airport. You know those X-ray scanners, which are really creepy? They basically see you naked, right? And not only that, but there's a radiation aspect to it, so I always opt out.'

The stars have been dating since their movie Place Beyond The Pines in 2011.
