Russell Brand unphased over Katy Perry split

The British comic has revealed that he's 'doing well' as a newly single man

Their divorce was only finalised a couple of months ago, but it seems that Russell Brand is not letting his split from Katy Perry phase him as he reveals that he’s ‘doing well’.

In some revealing comments to People magazine, the British comic went all philosophical on us and said that he has no reason to be unhappy.

‘I’m doing well,’ he said. ‘You don’t need to brush it off if you don’t get it on you in the first place. I don’t have to let anything go. I don’t hold on to anything negative. It’s the same as zero-ness.’

When pushed to find out whether this positive way of thinking was tied into his transcendental meditation and yoga, Russell replied: ‘I like Kundalini yoga.’ The discipline is credited with developing strength, awareness and character.

He added: ‘It’s not about letting it go. You can’t let go of something you don’t hold, you know. It’s meaningless, and much of our world is predicted on meaningless. And I don’t do that anymore.’

Wow. Sounds like Russell is being really strong in the face of the split. Could his rumoured new girlfriend have anything to do with it?

The actor and stand-up comedian has been spotted numerous times with Hungarian model Nikolett Barabas, who recently told Life & Style magazine that Russell is ‘amazing’, ‘funny’ and ‘beautiful’.

Russell and Katy, who is now dating French model Baptiste Giabiconi, were wed near a tiger sanctuary in India in October 2010, but then split in December last year after just 14 months of marriage.
