Robin Thicke and Paula Patton's love story is coming to an end.
The "Blurred Lines" singer, 36, and his wife of eight years released a statement to People magazine on Monday night: 'We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time.'
The childhood sweethearts met when Thicke was just 14. They got married in 2005 and welcomed son Julian Fuego in 2010.
In the past, Thicke was always very candid about their happy marriage and active sex life.
'I don't know if I would still be alive in some ways if it wasn't for Paula,' Thicke said in the September issue of Prestige magazine. 'She's been my rock, my muse, my inspiration, and I love her.'
In 2013, the singer made headlines for his controversial "Blurred Lines" music video, which featured Thicke, Pharrell Williams and T.I. dancing with three naked models. But Thicke insisted his wife was totally supportive.
