The loved-up pair stole a cheeky kiss as they left a Water For Elephants after party

Scream! Ever since the world set eyes on Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s sizzling chemistry in vamp flick Twilight, fans the world over have been speculating over the state of their relationship.

The are-they, aren't-they pair had always denied they were a couple, but their union couldn’t have been clearer yesterday, when the loved-u twosome were spied leaning in for a cheeky kiss, when they thought no one was looking.

Earlier in the evening, Rob had been on publicity duty, hitting the red carpet with fellow starlet Reese Witherspoon, to promote new flick Water For Elephants, at the premiere in New York.

Even though Kristen wasn’t pictured at the event, it’s thought the Twilight beauty was waiting in the wings, and snuck into a private after party to lend support and congratulate her beau.

Afterwards, the super-cute, smiling pair were rushed out of a side entrance and into a waiting car by security.

Pictures caught by fans and photographers clearly show the stars holding hands, before cuddling up on the back seat.

R-Patz even tried to steal a sneaky kiss, but Kristen – dazzling in a J Mendel mini, and clutching her killer heels in her hands - was having none of it, after spotting photographers outside their car.

The pair were then whisked away into the night.

Rob and Kristen have gone to great lengths to keep any relationship secret, since the Twilight Saga began, and this rare joint outing marks their first public display of affection since rumours began circling. 

We hope we'll be seeing much more of the pair soon!
