The Twilight star has taken part in an unusual 13-hour shoot in honour of Cosmopolis director, David Cronenberg.

In the photo shoot, Robert Pattinson finds himself naked in bed with a pregnant woman…and himself. Yes, that's right, two Robert Pattinson's for the price of one!

The pictures, which appear in the June issue of Premiere magazine, show the 25-year-old star is pictured in bed wearing nothing but a red silk sheet.

The bed is scattered with old-school VHS tapes but what's most striking is that the Twilight heartthrob is in bed with a naked woman (Kristen Stewart fans, look away now!) and a second R-Patz!

The concept for the shoot, which apparently took 13 hours, was Robert Pattinson's own idea as he wanted to pay homage to Cosmopolis director David Cronenberg.

In Cosmopolis, the film based on a novel by Don DeLillo, Robert Pattinson plays billionaire Eric Packer who sets off into Manhattan for a haircut one night and finds his life changes forever.

Robert Pattinson has said that working with David Cronenberg gave him a confidence boost.

He told Premiere magazine: 'Before, I spent my time doubting myself. As soon as I read a script that I liked, I was working myself up, asking myself if I was good enough. Now, I tell myself: 'F*** it! If they want to hire you, go!'
