Johnny Depp has been crowned sexiest man alive by People magazine poll, but Twilight fans are angry that Robert Pattinson wasn't at No.1

It's war, as Twilight fans are distraught at Robert Pattinson not making the number one slot as the world's sexiest man. According to the US People magazine poll, Johnny Depp is the Sexiest Man Alive - officially. But Robert Pattinson fans are not happy and have declared all-out battle on the magazine.

Each year, People runs the Sexiest Man Alive poll, and this year Twilight fans were certain that 23-year-old Robert Pattinson would be voted the Sexiest Man Alive. But fans are distraught at the fact that 43-year-old Johnny Depp has been given the accolade and not Robert, as they had expected.

American blogger Lainey Gossip supported the magazine poll results, but has been inundated with comments and emails from angry Twilight fans who believe Robert should have won. Fans pledged to never buy the magazine again and one adult fan was beside herself as to how to break the news to her daughter.
