Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart sneak out of Cannes party

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have gone to great lengths to keep their distance from each other on the red carpet at Cannes. But yesterday the loved-up Twilight twosome were snapped sneaking out of an after-party together, before heading home to their cosy Cannes pad.

ROBERT PATTINSON & KRISTEN STEWART HIT THE RED CARPET IN CANNES

Earlier in the evening, the pair both walked the red carpet at the premiere of Robert Pattinson's new movie, Cosmopolis.

And while Rob struck a pose with his movie co-stars, Kristen Stewart took his best friend Tom Sturridge as her premiere date.

Afterwards, Rob and Kristen hit the official premiere after-party, where they cosied up until the early hours.

Eventually the private pair decided it was time to call it a night, and snuck out of a side exit and into the back of a waiting car.

While R-Patz was still looking super-handsome in his smart tux, Kristen had ditched her gorgeous scarlet Reem Acra gown by the time the evening was out, instead exiting in shorts, a t-shirt and a red leather jacket.

This is not the first time Rob and Kristen have been spied letting their hair down in Cannes.

Last week the couple sent fans into a frenzy when Robert Pattinson, who had carefully kept his distance from Kristen all evening, was spied leaning in for a kiss at an On The Road premiere bash.

With Cannes coming to a close, it's thought Rob will travel to Portugal today to continue his Cosmopolis publicity trail, although it's not yet know if Kristen Stewart will join him.
