The award-winning star amused guests with an entertaining acceptance speech
Amid gushing acceptance speeches at last night's Golden Globes, hilarious Robert Downey Jr joked with guests as he picked up his gong.
Winning our award for most entertaining acceptance, there was not a tear in sight as the Hollywood star picked up his award for Best Actor in a Comedy for his role in Sherlock Holmes.
The comedic star joked with the audience that Avatar would have ruined Sherlock's chance at the box office, ‘If it hadn't been for me'.
Referring to the dreary music which drowns out overrunning acceptance speeches, he said, ‘If they start playing violins I will tear this place apart!'
The entertaining actor then carried on with his funny messages of thanks, even referring to someone he WASN'T going to thank.
‘I'm not going to thank Joel Silver, the man who restarted my career about 12 times,' he said.
