Following rumours she would star, Rhi’s confirmed she will definitely not act in the role
Earlier this month it was rumoured songstress superstar Rihanna could be set to star in a remake of classic Whitney Huston flick The Bodyguard, nearly twenty years after it was released. But now Rhi has slammed reports, revealing she will ‘absolutely not’ be taking up the role.

It’s thought producers at Warner Brothers have already commissioned a screenplay of the new movie - which could see the leading lady stalked by a fan tracking her on Twitter, Facebook and celebrity websites - and are considering who they would like to star.
But Rihanna has made it clear she is definitely not in line for a part, and hates it when singers play themselves in films.
‘Absolutely not,’ she said, when quizzed on the role. ‘I want to separate the two. I hate it when singers do singing movies all the time because you can never look at them as anybody else.
'I want to play a character. My whole life is playing Rihanna, [so] being a singer [in a film] won't be a stretch for me.

‘I like challenges and being an actor is playing a role, being able to step into somebody else's shoes, that's the excitement.'
Instead, Rihanna has won herself another acting part.
The Barbadian singer is set to make her big screen debut alongside Alexander Skarsgard in new movie, Battleship, scheduled to hit screens next year.
