She's a world famous sex symbol renowned for her raunchy performances and barely-there stage outfits so it is of little surprise Rihanna has been named the Sexiest Woman Alive by Esquire Magazine.

The leggy 'S&M' singer fought off tough competition from Beyonce, Emma Stone and Mila Kunis for the coveted title, but claims her status as a sex symbol doesn't mean much to her.

'At the end of a concert, I don't feel like I've been this sexy thing. Really, I don't even think about it,' she tells the November issue of the magazine.

The stunning singer who stars on the front cover of the issue wearing nothing but some scraps of seaweed and a seductive stare, also opened up about her troubled relationship with former boyfriendChris Brown: 'It was too much anger.'

Seeimingly keen to build bridges the 'Man Down' singer explains: 'I'm really excited to see the breakthrough he's had in his career. It's incredible to see how he pulled out the way he did. Even when the world seemed like it was against him, you know?

'I really like the music he's putting out. I'm a fan of his stuff. I've always been a fan. I would never wish anything horrible for him. Never. I never have.'

The Barbadian beauty has been enjoying time in the UK this summer, filming a racy video shoot in Northern Ireland , riding the Jubilee Line and was even spotted leaving Stringfellows nightclub in London last night.
