Sophie Dahl and Jamie Cullum set to marry in lavish wedding next July
Details have emerged of the lavish wedding Sophie Dahl and Jamie Cullum are planning when they tie the knot next year. The unlikely pairing, who got engaged in March this year, have been busy planning their big day and the latest is that no expense will be spared.
The couple are believed to have hired out a mansion house on the Hunton Park estate, set in 22 acres of parkland in Hertfordshire, where they will say ‘I do’ next July.
Although the happy couple had hoped to arrange their nuptials for January ’09, Jamie’s work commitments (he has a new album and tour dropping early next year) have meant the big day will be slightly postponed.
But the delay hasn’t stopped Sophie from planning the day of her dreams. According to one source quoted in the Daily Mail: ‘They are looking at hiring Bentleys for the wedding party and having a full silver service reception with all the trimmings.
'They have the option of marrying in either a marquee that can accommodate 170 guests or having an evening reception with a maximum of 250 guests.’
Despite the stark height difference that no one can fail to notice when the happy couple walk down the aisle, the pair have always dismissed their little and large appearance.

‘We happen to be two people who met, fell madly in love and will probably produce fairly average-sized children, hopefully with his more elegant feet, not mine,’ Dahl said recently.
