Prince William made his first ever appearance at the BAFTAs last night, presenting veteran actress Vanessa Redgrave with a British Academy fellowship.

Our favourite young Royal was at the awards in an official capacity, acting in his brand new role as the President of the British Academy Film Awards.
William was greeted with a kiss from Uma Thurman, while award recipient Vanessa Redgrave curtsied for the bashful Prince as she arrived on stage.
It seems the dashing future monarch well and truly stole the limelight from a whole host of A-Listers as the cameras went wild at his appearance.
Dazzling the hoards of press, all eyes were on the charismatic royal as he walked the red carpet.

So few people noticed poor Kate Winslet as she shimmied past just moments later.
And thousands of screaming fans found their handsome Prince, as despite the plummeting temperatures William spent time walking the red carpet and posing for pictures.
