William and Kate's rare PDA during joint royal engagement is so sweet

Did you know that this is why Prince William and Kate Middleton never hold hands in public?
If you're a fan of the royal couple, you've probably noticed that they're much more reserved when it comes to public displays of affection compared to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
William and Kate have ripped up the royal rule book plenty of times - from throwing out their original wedding guest list, to spending Christmas with the Middletons in Berkshire rather than with the Queen at Sandringham House.
However, when it comes to PDA they usually follow in the footsteps of Queen and Prince Philip, and avoid it completely.
So when they stepped out together for their first royal engagement since the birth of their son, Prince Louis, everyone was touched by how affectionate they were.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the Global Ministerial Mental Health Summit in London, which is attended by political figures, academics, and policy-makers with the aim of improving services, legislation and awareness of mental health issues.
As the couple entered County Hall, William placed his hand on Kate's back, a rare show of affection from the royal, and later on in the day they sat together on the Friendship Bench where William gently touched Kate's leg.
Kate also caught the fash pack's attention by wearing the purple Emilia Wickstead dress she wore earlier this year during a visit to Germany.
The Duchess is known for recycling her outfits, and this time she paired the gorgeous A-line number with an Aspinal of London Mayfair bag, and Gianvito Rossi suede pumps.
We love how sweet these two looked together yesterday.
We have no doubt that there will be even cuter pictures by the weekend, as William, Kate and their three children attend Princess Eugenie's wedding to Jack Brooksbank on 12th October.
Can't wait.
