Kate Middleton and Prince William have another reason to be proud parents today, as three-month-old Prince George is given an impressive new title.
With the ‘best of 2013’ lists rolling in thick and fast, Prince George has been revealed as the most searched-for term in the last 12 months.
Despite being born half-way through the year, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s firstborn was the most popular search term among Yahoo! Search engine users this year; ranking higher than Miley Cyrus and Game Of Thrones.
Little George also topped the list above Wimbledon champion Andy Murray, the iPhone and Kindle, while he then came out above house prices and Nelson Mandela as the most searched-for news story of 2013.
But George isn’t the first royal to earn such a privilege, as Kate was previously named as one of the most searched-for terms of 2012, according to Google.
Following in K Middy’s footsteps sooner than anyone expected, Prince George has managed to budge his doting mum from the top spot on this occasion.

‘Also, for the first time Yahoo! looked at the British “obsessions”, which showed how twerking, Candy Crush and even the false widow spider demanded our attention.
