Brad Pitt and Natalie Portman to play lovers in new romcom
Get set for some sizzling on-screen chemistry: Brad Pitt and the gorgeous Natalie Portman are lined-up to star as lovers in a new romcom.
The movie is based on the new Leanne Shapton book Important Artifacts and Personal Property From the Collection of Lenore Doolan and Harold Morris, Including Books, Street Fashion and Jewelry.
The book takes the form of a Sotheby's-like estate auction catalogue, with 325 entries and photographs depicting items that reveal the private moments and the rise and fall of a four-year relationship between the fictitious couple Hal Morris (a forty-ish photographer) and Lenore Doolan (a New York Times food columnist in her late twenties).
Paramount won an auction for the book rights on Tuesday night, and Brad Pitt’s company Plan B – which he set up with Jennifer Aniston and is Paramount-based – will produce it, under Portman’s Handsomecharlie Films banner.
Portman originally suggested the idea of the adaptation to Pitt, who instantly jumped on board.
Hope Angie doesn’t mind!
