PICS! Robert Pattinson's dyed new 'do

The Twilight star stepped out sporting rather red locks at the prestigious awards ceremony yesterday

Is it just us, or was Twilight’s Robert Pattinson sporting a newly dyed 'do as he walked the red carpet at the Golden Globes over the weekend?

Gone were the smouldering star’s trademark dark locks, and in their place a definite hint of red. Or actually, maybe ginger.

And the reason for R-Patz’ flame haired new ‘do? A quick colour change between filming upcoming circus flick Water For Elephants and new Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn. So we weren't the only ones to notice, then.

'Your hair is a different colour,' an Access Hollywood reporter exclaimed as Rob made his way into the ceremony.

‘I know. I’ve been trying to figure it out,' Rob replied. ‘It’s a different color in ‘Twilight’ than it is in ‘Water For Elephants’ so I had to do a kind of rush dye job on it.’

But the star was happy to laugh about his highlighted hair, joking his distictly red tinged locks were all his own work.

According to R-Patz, he used ‘just like some mousse,' Isn’t it amazing?' he joked. 'I thought it was a nice change.'

Rob also opened up about the very first Breaking Dawn picture to be released, a sneaky snap of Bella and Edwards steamy honeymoon scene.

‘I just saw this today for the first time,’ he said. ‘Very pretty… It’s funny that’s the first picture they released… Kind of giving it away a little bit.’
