Could Emma Watson be the next Doctor Who?
Just a week ago, we told you that after Steven Moffat announced he was stepping down as show producer, handing over to the creator of Broadchurch, Chris Chibnall, reports were coming in that Peter Capaldi was going to be leaving the show too.
Now rumours are coming in thick and fast that actress, model, activist and general superhero Emma may be considered for the part, with the Irish Examiner saying if she was cast, the 'fandom would lose their minds'. The newspaper also said Olivia Colman, Hayley Atwell and Chiwetel Ejiofor were possibilities for the role.
However, the bookies' favourite isn't Emma, but James Bond star Ben Whishaw, followed by Richard Ayoade and Rory Kinnear.
Time will tell - but we're strongly voting for Emma, in case you hadn't noticed.
According to The Mirror, BBC bosses are expecting Capaldi, 57, to leave the award-winning show after Series 10 is shown in 2017, so that Chibnall can choose ‘his own Time Lord’.

A source told the newspaper: ‘Bosses are already discussing a fresh start when Steven leaves.
‘They’ve been happy with what Peter has brought to the role but some think it might make sense to give Chris his own choice of actor to play the Doctor.
‘They hope he will be able to find someone who can have the same impact as Matt Smith did when Steven Moffat kicked off his run as executive producer.’

If the rumours are true, the turn of events would be very similar to what happened when David Tennant left as the tenth Doctor alongside producer and screenwriter Russell T. Davies.
Only a month ago, Capaldi hinted to The Telegraph that he might soon depart from the popular show.
‘This could be my final year - it's terrifying,’ he said. ‘I love Doctor Who but it can be an insular world and I do want to do other things.
‘There will come a time when this is over. But I knew that when I started. I was thinking about my regeneration scene from the outset. That’s my terrible melancholic nature,’ he added.
‘When you accept the job you know there’ll come a day, inevitably, when you’ll be saying goodbye.’
So now the question on everyone’s lips will be who will replace Capaldi. Our vote goes to Emma, obvs - or Idris Elba, who's been rumoured to be in the running for the role before. Watch this space.
