Pete Doherty dumps model lover and tells friends, 'I want Kate back'

PETE DOHERTY HAS ditched his model girlfriend Irina Lazareanu after a blazing row – and is now telling friends he wants Kate Moss back.

Pete, who has been on the straight and narrow after a six-week stint in rehab, popped the question to Irina – but later realised he'd made a mistake.

'He got engaged in a moment of madness when he was off his head before he checked into rehab and has been questioning his sanity ever since,' one source told the Sun.

'He liked Irina but admits the only reason he got together with her was on the rebound from Kate.'

He continued: 'Irina turned up in Somerset at the wekend on the set of the video for Babyshambles' new single You Talk and made a total nuisance of herself.

'She was always telling Pete what to do and where to go, and in the end he had to tell her it was over. Everyone's happy she's gone — it wasn't doing anything for band relations.'

One person who may not be happy about the split is Kate's new love, The Kills guitarist, Jamie Hince.
