An obituary released on Sunday has revealed that Twin Peaks star Pamela Gidley has passed away in her Seabrook home. According to the statement, she passed ‘peacefully’ on April 16 at the age of 52 though no cause of death has been mentioned.
Before Pamela stole hearts as Teresa Banks in the Twin Peaks sequel Fire Walk With Me, she also starred in films and popular series such as Thrashin’, The Little Vampire, MacGyver and later had a recurring role in CSI. She was also a former model and was at one point hailed the ‘Most Beautiful Girl in the World’ by Wilhelmina Modeling Agency back in 1985.
The family has opened up a tribute page where her former classmates, co-workers and friends have been leaving messages filled with memories of the actor. Stars she had worked with over the year also began posting tributes to Instagram, including her Thrashin’ co-star Josh Brolin.
He captioned a still from the film, ‘My co-star in “Thrashin” and my girlfriend twice in a lifestime. Amazing and innocent memories of her: a spitfire, and a truly funny person she was. I remember being in bed (I was 17) and hearing the radio come on saying that the Challenger had just exploded. These milestone in your life: amazing people to grace us with their spirit, their presence. She will have forever affected mine. Thank you for the gift of you, Pam. Rest in Peace beautiful girl.’
Sherilyn Fenn, who started off with Pamela in Thrashin' before moving onto Twin Peaks together, also posted a throwback photo of the two. She wrote, ‘My oldest, bestest friend has passed…..my heart is shattered.’
Jonathan Lipnicki, who played her son in The Little Vampire, took to Twitter and posted, ‘Just found out that Pamela Gidley who played my mom in The Little Vampire, passed away. She was lovely and I’m gutted. Love to her family.’
