Nobody’s impervious to the charms of the Spice Girls - not even Orlando Bloom. In an interview on the Heart Radio Breakfast Show, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor and host Baby Spice Emma Bunton shared airtime and a whole lot of chemistry. After a flirty exchange, Orlando Bloom spilled the beans and admitted he’d had a big crush on Emma when she was part of the Spice Girls.
While promoting his new film Unlocked, the 40-year-old father praised strong women and the Spice Girls as role models before asking the question we all want the answer to.
‘The world’s about strong women today, of course Emma started that whole women’s movement with the Spice Girls…are you getting back to that by the way?' he asked. 'Are those rumours true?’
Unfortunately, Emma shot him down quickly and denied the reunion despite theories that she, Geri Halliwell and Mel B are teaming up again this summer. After some flirting and talk of Emma ‘jumping around in one of those little outfits again’ (ew Orlando, no), the conversation turned to his fondness for the 2 Become 1 singer.
‘I had a crush on you, yeah I did, yeah,’ he revealed.

‘Did you, was I your favourite?’ she asked.
Ever the charmer, he told her, ‘Yeah.’
Emma then did exactly what any of us would do when Orlando Bloom tells you he had a crush on you – she told the whole world about it. She reposted a clip of it to her Instagram with the caption ‘? @orlandobloom admits he has a crush on @emmaleebunton..!’.
While Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry split recently and he may be single and ready to mingle, a Baby Spice romance may not be in the works as Emma Bunton is happily married to Jade Jones and has two sons: Beau, nine and Tate, five.
The actor's new film Unlocked is an action feature set in London, where a CIA interrogator played by Noomi Rapace must save the city from a biological attack. He plays a shady MI5 agent alongside Michael Douglas, Toni Collette and John Malkovich.
The heart throb can next be seen sailing the seven seas this May, when Keira Knightley, Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp will reunite for the fifth Pirates of the Caribbean film.
