Olivia Munn Was Hypnotised Into Working Out

Well here's a novel way of getting fit
Putting our trainers by the bed? Check. Setting three different alarms? Check. Sleeping in our gym vest, you know, the really, really comfy one…? Check, check, check. We do all these things to try and make working out first thing happen – but sometimes it just doesn’t. Bed is a comfy place, after all. But X-Men star Olivia Munn has a novel way of getting herself to the gym; she was hypnotised into doing it – and we think we want to give it a go.
"I was going to a hypnotist to help me with my OCD and trichotillomania [hair pulling],” she told Good Housekeeping.
“One day I told [my hypnotist] I didn’t work out, and he said, 'What do you mean?' I replied 'I don't know. I just kind of don't. I yo-yo.’
"He said, 'You have to! It's good for your anxiety and depression.' So during one of our sessions, he hypnotised me." And Olivia is adamant that the hypnotherapy has actually worked – she’s now in the gym every day at 6:00am.
"If I miss a session, I double up and do it the next day,” she says. “Now I feel so much stronger. I remember running up the steps one day and thinking, this is strange. I could do this a hundred times and be totally O.K."
Right, we're officially giving this one a try...
