Nigella Lawson and Charles Saatchi are expected to settle their marriage before the day is up
Nigella Lawson will divorce husband of 10 years, Charles Saatchi in a 'quickie divorce' at London's High Court this morning.
The swift settlement comes just weeks after Saatchi was pictured choking and threatening his wife outside a London restaurant, which concerned onlookers later reported to police.
It is thought that Nigella sought an 'amicable' divorce on the grounds of her husband's 'unreasonable behaviour'.
Neither partner is expected to attend the preliminary stage of the divorce (divorce nisi) at 10.30am this morning and it should be only take minutes.
The divorce will be complete at the beginning of September (divorce absolute) and involves no financial claims on either part.
Charles, 70, accepted a caution for assault following the incident and has spoken out about the divorce saying he's deeply saddened about ending their marriage, during which their 'love was very deep'.

TV chef Nigella, who is now living with her son Bruno after moving out of the couple's £14 million Chelsea home, has plans to go to Los Angeles to film her new ABC show The Taste.
In a departure from her usual glamorous wardrobe, Nigella has been pictured dressed in all black loose-fitting clothes, without her wedding ring and looking dishevelled in appearance in the wake of the incident.
We hope that she will be back to her vivacious self when she next graces out TV screens.
