The pair have reportedly gone their separate ways after a four-year relationship

Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton have parted ways after a four-year relationship, according to reports.

It’s thought the beautiful twosome - who first split back in 2009 - but found the relationship ‘unworkable’ due to their increasingly packed schedules.

‘They are still very good friends and it was an amicable split, but they just decided it was impossible to keep the relationship going with such conflicting work schedules,’ one friend revealed.

Meanwhile, another told the Mirror the 33-year-old American Idol judge and 26-year-old driver’s relationship had been ‘rocky’ for a while, with their hectic lives meaning they spent hardly any time together.

'Nicole and Lewis are both extremely busy people who lead incredibly hectic lives,’ the source revealed.

'Of late, their schedules have proven pretty unworkable and they have not been able to see as much of one another as they would have liked.'

But it seems a reunion can’t definitely be ruled out.

'They still speak on the phone but this isn't the same as face-to-face contact and things have been rough for the past six weeks,' the insider added. 'Both want it to work but it's fair to say things are rocky. But they have rowed before and worked things out'

The gorgeous twosome met back in 2007 at the MTV Europe Awards, and got together a year later.

Nicole has been a permanent fixture at the racing sidelines since the beginning of their relationship, while doting Lewis has be spotted supporting the Pussycat Doll at a number of events.

But despite this, rumours a break-up could be on the cards have been circulating since last year, with sources suggesting Lewis was not ready to settle down.

Representatives for the pair have yet to comment.
