The US version of the talent show is set for a big shake-up
Nicole Scherzinger and Steve Jones have been given the chop from the US X Factor, it's been confirmed.
Jones, 34, won't be returning as the show's host and he revealed the news himself via his Twitter account.
Last night he wrote: 'I wont be hosting next seasons XFactor which is a shame but I cant complain as I've had a great time. Good luck to everyone on the show.' (sic)
It was then later announced by Fox, which broadcasts the reality show, that Scherzinger would also be leaving.
The 34-year-old former Pussycat Doll was originally supposed to host the singing competition along with Jones but was pulled in as a judge to replace Cheryl Cole at the last minute.

It's also been reported that another judge, Paula Abdul, is to exit the show, leaving just Simon Cowell and LA Reid from the existing panel.
A shake-up up was always expected after the first season of the X Factor pulled in some disappointing ratings and failed to match up to the successful American Idol.
