Naomi Campbell starts air rage community service
Naomi Campbell started her 200 hours of community service yesterday at a centre for homeless people – and the staff are adamant the supermodel won’t be receiving any preferential treatment.
Fiery Naomi was sentenced after being found guilty of assaulting two police officers on a flight at Heathrow airport.
And the 38-year-old will be paying for her mistake by serving food, sorting second-hand clothes for resale, and assisting with basic administration at the East End homeless drop-in centre, Whitechapel Mission.
On average, the centre deals with 150 homeless people a day, who come looking for a shower, cooked food and medical facilities.
And Naomi won’t be getting an easy time of it just because she’s famous. An unnamed employee told the Daily Mail: ‘The Whitechapel Mission has been dealing with probationers for 130 years and throughout that time every single one of them has been treated exactly the same.
‘She will be working with some of the most needy people in the capital. So she is not going to be given an easy ride or treated as a special case. And she will not be allowed to parade the streets in an orange vest to please photographers like she did in America.’

He added: 'If they wanted her to have an easy time they could easily have sent her to Chelsea or Kensington. Not the East End’.
Naomi will also have to abide by a strict set of rules at the drop-in centre. ‘These include punctual attendance, full co-operation with reasonable instructions, and appropriate behaviour for working in a communal setting,’ reveals Alison Prager of London Probation.
Naomi seemed to be taking it in her stride so far, and was all smiles at the Serpentine Gallery summer party, which she attended with her Russian businessman boyfriend Vladimir Doronin, and schmoozed with the likes of Joely Richardson and Mario Testino.
