Just hours after being voted off the X Factor semi-final Misha B struck up a friendship with her rap idol Missy Elliot.
The 19-year-old decided to tweet the Get Your Freak On star to thank her for being an inspiration during her time on the show.

Fans had already been tweeting the American star clips from Misha's X Factor performances to help get her recognised by Missy Elliot.

An excited Misha re-tweeted the message, before replying with a daring tweet: 'WOW!!! Words Can't Describe How Much It Means To Have Ur Support! Got Me Thinkin...IMAGINE Missy E && Misha B *MUSICALMADNESS*'
And it looks like her bold ambition may be fulfilled, as her idol responded: 'hahaha! Yup a hit! As u would say *MUSICALMADNESS* looking 4ward 2 meeting ya.'
On Monday the singer, who narrowly missed out on a place in the X Factor final, appeared on ITV's This Morning where she revealed she had already been in talks about a record deal, though she did not confirm if it was with the US rapper.
She told host Phillip Schofield, 'I can't confirm if I have signed anything yet - I've not signed anything yet, but some great things have come my way'.
Next weekend the two-part final will take place at Wembley Arena in front of a 10,000 crowd as the Amelia Lily, Little Mix and Marcus Collins try to battle it out for the X Factor title.
