Why Meghan Markle wrote to her old classmates days before giving birth
Very sweet.
Very sweet.
The Duchess of Sussex has had a very busy month. She welcomed her first child with Prince Harry on May 6th, just weeks after moving into their new home Frogmore Cottage, and has since been enjoying time with her newborn, Archie.
But she still made time to write a sweet letter to her former classmates after missing the high school reunion.
Meghan attended the Immaculate Heart High School in Los Angeles between 1996 and 1999, and her school friends had planned a get together for 5th May. However, for obvious reasons, she was unable to attend and sent an apology letter to those she wouldn't be able to catch up with.
One former classmate told The Daily Mail: 'Everyone was disappointed that they did not get to catch up with Meghan given everything that has happened to her.
'But the whole group was super excited about her giving birth to the first British-American prince, it was all anyone talked about.
'They were so excited to get that letter from her. She is remembered as someone who is very thoughtful, and to get that kind of attention now that she is a Royal went down really well.

'Hopefully she will be able to make it to the 25 year reunion and she is welcome to bring Harry and Archie along with her.'
When the news broke that Meghan had given birth, the Immaculate Heart High School immediately sent well wishes, writing on their Facebook page: 'Immaculate Heart High School & Middle School congratulates IH alumna Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, and her husband, Prince Harry, on the birth of their son. The school community extends best wishes of happiness to the Royal Family on this joyous event!'
How sweet!
