Meghan Markle's brother claims the royal wedding 'spotlight' left him homeless

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are arguably the most famous couple in the world. Meghan was the most Googled person of 2018, their wedding was reportedly watched by 29.2 million people across the globe and everyone is smitten with their newborn, Archie, even though we've only had one tiny glimpse of him.
But the Duchess of Sussex has also had a difficult year when it comes to family matters. Her estranged father and sister, Thomas Markle and Samantha Grant, are both writing books about Meghan and have made some unsavoury - and very strange - comments about the new mum in the press, from offensive New Year's resolutions to comparing her to Anne Boleyn.
Now, her brother Thomas Markle Jr has claimed that his sister's relationship with Harry has made him homeless.
According to the glazier, the media attention has been unavoidable and has forced him and his family out of his home town. He told The Sun that he had to move to a hotel in Oregon with his wife and two dogs in order to escape the spotlight, and he also claimed the increased interest in his sister which has made him 'so notorious' in his home town that he couldn't find anywhere to live when he was evicted by his landlord.
He also recently lost his job due to ill health, but blames his sister's fame for hindering his chances of getting another job.
Thomas told The Sun: 'This is the lowest point of my life. Living in a small hotel room is really taking its toll on Darlene [his fiancé] and her son – on all of us.

'And it’s all because my life suddenly got catapulted into the spotlight – through no fault of my own. My every move has been put under the microscope – not just for me but all my family.
'Now there’s been so much said about me – both true and untrue – no one wants to lease me a house or give me a job. It’s tough to accept – especially when I never asked for any of this.'
The palace has not responded.
