MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY'S DRAMATIC WEIGHT LOSS
The 43-year-old actor, whose wife Camila Alves gave birth to their third child, a baby boy named Livingston, on December 28, looked gaunt and pale as he posed on the red carpet at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards last night. The committed actor has been existing on air by the looks of it as he films his latest role as real-life AIDS victim Ron Woodroof in the movie, also starring Jennifer Garner, which is to be released later this year.
The actor has reassured people that his extreme weight loss hasn't affected his health, telling The Daily Beast: 'I feel fine. I really do. I got the means to lose the weight in a really healthy way. I'm eating fresh fish. I'm just eating small amounts. I'm not being starved. I'm sleeping well... It's just really an exercise in discipline.
'If anything, it's as much a spiritual journey as it is physical... It's really been enlightening to understand my anatomy. I don't have the leverage I used to. I have body soreness.'DRAMATIC MOVIE MAKEOVERS
