Matthew McConaughey and his long-term girlfriend Camila Alves are engaged, after the A-list actor popped the question on Christmas Day.

The romantic star surprised his Brazilian model love with an extra-special gift under the tree – a sparkling diamond engagement ring.
Taking straight to Twitter to share his happy news with fans, Matthew wrote: 'just asked camila to marry me, merry Christmas.'
And the delighted pair just couldn’t help but share a sneaky snap of their special celebrations, posting a picture of themselves enjoying a Christmas kiss in front of the tree.
The couple, who met in 2006, have two children, Levi Alves McConaughey, three and 11-month old Vida.
Matthew and Camilla weren’t the only ones celebrating an engagement over the Christmas break.
Strictly Come Dancing star Holly Valance has also been showing off a rather lovely sparkler, after her property-developer boyfriend proposed during a romantic getaway in the Maldives.
