Mary-Kate Olsen has opened up about her extraordinary childhood in the September issue of US Marie Claire, saying: 'I wouldn't wish my upbringing on anybody.'
One half of the world's most famous twin-set, Mary-Kate and sister Ashley grew up in front of the lens, after finding fame on kids TV show Full House.

'I look at old pictures of me, and I don't feel connected to them at all,' says the 24-year-old, describing her and her sister as 'little monkey performers.'
'But I wouldn't take it back for the world,' she adds.
And the former child star says she's now finally found her fashion feet, and would rather be known as a designer than an actress.

Since founding fashion label The Row with Ashley, Mary-Kate describes her new passion as 'kind of like a mask to hide behind.'
'I still read scripts, and if something comes a long, that's great,' she says. 'But this is my day job. The Row is where I go every day.'
