Idris Elba, we've been waiting
Guys, we have great news for you: Luther is back.
The BBC has teased us with a short trailer featuring some ominous scenes from series four of the top show, and lead actor Idris Elba voiceover asking: 'Do you ever have that dream when you're falling? Did you ever wake up in it?'
Series four of Luther will be a two-part special set to air on
BBC One in December with Idris starring alongside Rose Leslie, Patrick Malahide, Darren Boyd, Laura Haddock and John
Heffernan.
The BBC described the return as: 'Luther's back. Pitted against
his most chilling adversary yet, haunted by the ghosts of his past and
hell-bent on retribution, he's drawn into a terrifyingly complex case
that pushes him closer to the edge than he's ever been.'
It sounds good to us.
The tease ended with the hashtag #LuthersBack - and we imagine Twitter will be going wild for the return of Detective Chief Inspector John Luther. We certainly are.
