The X Fcator judge has been blabbing - yet again - on Cheryl Cole's future plans
Cheryl Cole may still be firmly under the radar following her shock US X Factor axe, but Louis Walsh is more than happy to keep the world updated on his former colleague. Reminiscing on their time together on the judges' panel, he described: 'When Cheryl came on the first year everybody fell in love with her. She lit up the room.'
Commented on her ill-fated attempt to break the States, he added: 'I thought it would work for her in America. It wasn't anyone's fault it didn't. It's a different planet and she's not as tough as people think. She's tough on the outside, but sensitive on the inside.
Following her departure from X Factor USA, Simon Cowell confirmed that Cheryl had turned down a multi-million pound offer to return to the UK show. naturally, Louis was happy to reveal why she turned it down, 'She didn't take up the offer to come back to the UK panel because she probably didn't want to go backwards.
As for Cheryl's future: 'I know she wants to do music, she wants to dance. I'm sure she wants to settle her life down, she's been working hard for the past ten years.'
We're sure Cheryl is thrilled Mr Walsh is so happy to open up on her 'possible' plans, especially as even Louis admits they haven't actually spoken since her return to the UK.
They have, however, text! 'On the first day of auditions for The X Factor, I text her, saying: 'They're going to ask me what am I looking for in the contestants this year, '' Louis revealed. 'She replied: 'Tell them you're looking for a new Cheryl Cole.' We had a good laugh about that.'
