Elizabeth Hurley announced the end of her three-year marriage to Indian business tycoon Aryn Nayer yesterday, confirming the news to followers on Twitter.
The British beauty took to the social network site amid rumours of an affair with cricket star Shane Warne, revealing she and her husband split some months ago. ‘Not a great day,’ Liz Tweeted. ‘For the record, my husband Arun & I separated a few months ago. Our close family & friends were aware of this.’
This comes after pictures emerged of Liz and the sports star exchanging a series of steamy kisses outside a London restaurant earlier this month.
'They were so passionate they looked like honeymooners. It was electric,’ one insider told the News of the World, who revealed the pair had been sending flirty messages on Twitter for some time.
Liz and Shane - who confirmed a split with his wife in a statement today - were also spotted getting cosy during a day at the races, at Goodwood earlier this year.

But it seems the support has been flooding in for Liz. The model later Tweeted a message thanking fans for their support. ‘Thank you for all your very, very nice messages x,’ she wrote.
Liz and Arun began dating in 2003, and married in March 2007, in not one but two romantic ceremonies. The pair had a glittering Gloucestershire wedding, before flying guests out to Jodhpur in India, for traditional Hindu nuptials.
