Destiny’s Child confirmed they were reuniting last week, thanks to Beyonce’s announcement, and now we’ve a second treat as the girls unveil their new single, Nuclear – their first in eight years.
BEYONCE ANNOUNCES DESTINY’S CHILD COMEBACK
Nuclear steps aside from Kelly Rowland’s dance past and Beyonce’s bootylicious tracks in favour of returning to what the girls, as a trio, did best.
The new track is a fusion of the Destiny’s Child sound we’re familiar with – smooth vocals with a sultry R&B edge next to some perfect production and backing beats courtesy of Pharrell Williams.
We won’t have to wait long to hear the song live either as Destiny’s Child will perform during Beyonce’s Super Bowl halftime show in New Orleans on 3 February. The group will also treat viewers to a medley of greatest hits including Emotion, Temptation and Say My Name.

This new song isn’t the only good news either, Beyonce has confirmed she’s releasing another album. We’ll get to hear one track from it at the Super Bowl and that will no doubt be enough to get us hooked, especially as Justin Timberlake, Timbaland and Pharrell have all collaborated on it.
New Destiny’s Child material (plus new stage outfits) AND a Beyonce album? We can’t wait.
