George Clooney’s famous ex Lisa Snowdon has been rushed to hospital with viral meningitis, after falling ill earlier this week.
The curvy M&S model had been switching on Bond Street’s famous Christmas lights just hours earlier, but took a turn for the worse after complaining of flu like symptoms.
‘Lisa was feeling rotten for a good few days,’ a friend told the Daily Mail.
'On Thursday night she switched on the lights and she was clearly unwell and struggling to hold it together. She had flu symptoms, major aches and pains and a migraine.’
‘She then had to go on to host a dinner. But after that she just fell apart and she went to the doctor and was immediately checked into hospital.
'They then diagnosed her with viral meningitis.’

Luckily, medics caught the nasty virus just in time, and the star is on the mend - viral meningitis is less serous than bacterial meningitis.
A spokesman has confirmed Lisa is recovering well, but is unlikely to return to work for a while.
‘Lisa was taken to hospital on Friday and has been diagnosed with viral meningitis,’ a spokesman said in a statement. 'She is now on the mend but is unlikely to return to the Breakfast Show next week.’
Get well soon, Lisa.
