Lisa Marie Presley gives birth to twin girls
Lisa Marie Presley and her husband Michael Lockwood have welcomed twin girls.
The babies were delivered by caesarean section on 7 October and weighed in at 5lbs, 15oz and 5lbs, 2oz.
‘The babies and mum are happy and healthy and resting at home,’ Lisa’s rep, Cindy Guagenti, told People magazine.
The girls are the first children together for Lisa, 40, and Michael, 47. The singer already has two children, Riley, 19, and Benjamin, 15, with ex-husband Danny Keough.
Before the babies were born, Lisa blogged on her MySpace page that both she and Michael were ‘beyond thrilled and blessed, elated and saturated in happiness’.
Elvis's daughter is the latest in a string of celebrities to give birth to twins, including Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony.
