Lindsay Lohan will return to rehab for 90 days, after accepting a plea deal in a Los Angeles court yesterday.
The 26-year-old, who looked pale and puffy-eyed as she appeared before judges, pleaded no no contest to reckless driving, lying to police and obstructing officers investigating a car accident in which she was involved in June 2012.
After two hours of legal negotiations behind closed doors, Lindsay narrowly escaped a jail term, instead walking away with a 90-day rehabilitation order.
She was also slapped with 30 days of community labour, and asked to attend 18 months of psychological therapy.
According to reports, Lindsay, who arrived 45 minutes late for the hearing after her private jet was delayed, was first offered 30 days of house arrest, but chose to take rehabilitation instead.

'Judge Dabney offered the possibility of a 30 day house arrest sentence but insisted that as part of the deal Lindsay would have to wear a SCRAM bracelet which detects any consumption of alcohol or drugs,' a source told gossip website Radaronline.com.
'Prosecutors were absolutely stunned Lohan turned down the offer, and chose instead to go to a lock down rehab for 90 days.'
Lindsay Lohan was involved in a car crash in a rented Porche in June 2012, less than 12 months after being charged with stealing a necklace from a Los Angeles shop.
In 2010, Lindsay served 14 days of a 90-day imposed prison sentence for violating a probation term, and in 2011 she spent four hours of a 30-day sentence behind bars for failing to keep up with her community service requirements.
