We feel a Hollwood sense of humour failure coming on. Just when we thought things had gone suspiciously quiet on the Lindsay Lohan front, the star has jumped back onto our radar, this time after taking offence to jokes made on hit US show Glee.
The hilarious episode – in which Gwyneth Paltrow makes her debut as substitute teacher Holly Holiday – sees the stand in star teaching students Spanish by asking them questions about Lindsay Lohan.
The star asked the McKinley High class: ‘Lindsay Lohan is totally crazy, right?’ before adding: ‘How many times has Lindsay Lohan been to rehab? Please get into groups and discuss how many times Lindsay Lohan has been in rehab.’
But the star and her family didn’t see the funny side, and now Lindsay’s mum Dina is threatening to sue the famous show.
‘Our lawyers are sending a letter to Glee on the grounds that the show allegedly defamed the actress who, by all accounts, is working hard on her recovery,’ she revealed.

And Lindsay’s own spokesman later put out a statement of her own.
‘Lindsay has an issue that millions of people around the world are dealing with yet Glee is treating addiction as a laughing matter.’
