Lindsay Lohan's mother reveals daughter's secret on recorded audio tapes

We certainly didn't see this one coming: according to Lindsay Lohan's mother, the star was in a relationship with Heath Ledger at the time of his tragic death, and has been in a downward spiral ever since.

In an explosive recording of an old telephone conversation, posted by gossip website radaronline.com, Dina Lohan can be heard confiding with her ex-husband, Michael, that Lindsay 'was dating Heath when he died... I don't know if you know that, but I know cause I would drop her off and they were friends, very, very close, ok'.

The call, made back in 2008, appears to have taken place after Dina became concerned Lindsay could suffer the same fate as Heath, with her mother confessing, 'When she's drunk or takes an Adderall with it, she will do something like Heath Ledger did in a second without thinking.'

So who's responsible for the leaked tape? That would be daddy dearest Michael, who made sure the edited recording (which also includes Dina's concerns about her daughter's relationship with Samantha Ronson), was heavily one-sided with most of his contributions deleted out.

So far, no word from Lindsay herself, or indeed Heath's family, on the allegations. In fact, Lindsay seemed far more concerned yesterday with recordings of a very different nature, telling fans on Twitter, 'I will DEFINITELY be doing a 3rd album. I just want to make sure everything is in line to make it exactly the way i want it!'
